What is YOUR VIEW on GREEK LETTER ORGANIZATIONS?

I believe that each and every Greek organization has it's perks for it's members. Each organization provides with them their values at which they hold high. I believe that being in a Greek organization and emerging yourself into their culture and truly understanding and hearing what the organization stands for is a message that often gets skewed. Much of society sees many Greek organizations as nothing but party animals, but the truth of the matter is that these Greek organizations do not "just party all the time," many of them are out doing community service and giving back to their community. I, for one, know that the Greek organization I belong to might not get much credit from the University, but our community knows we are here for them. We do things such as raising money for cystic fibrosis, domestic violence victims, and many other non profit organizations. Everything we do is for our community, to show that we are men of character. We have campus clean up days where we go out and clean up our campus and even our community surrounding. What it means to be Greek, in my opinion, is a change of your lifestyle for the better. It has gotten me closer bonds with some of the greatest people I have ever met, despite having our goofy moments where we all play around, we know when it is time to get serious and we all have such big hearts. Heart is what is required in this world to overcome the negativity that surrounds it, and I can tell you, Greek organizations have heart.
